Workshop 4.

Cross-breeding between media-based and choreographic performative elements,

interactive technology and the spectator's physical action.

facilitated by kondition pluriel (Marie-Claude Poulin & Martin Kusch)

The complex and stimulating challenge of cross-breeding between media-based and choreographic performative elements, interactive technology and the spectator's physical actions creates a new form of dialogue. Causal and non-linear relationships between the living presence, image, and sound establish and constitute the fundamentals for the formation of a new artistic grammar for performance. At the basis of this language, the human presence, the choreography, the electronic media and the installation elements form a whole that extends beyond each part.

The manipulation of these components, made as subtly as possible, triggers a deconstruction of our habitual way of perceiving reality. The body and time thus seem to remain in a perpetual cycle: alienation, hypnosis, or poetry?
