Sue Hawksley graduated from
the Royal Ballet School in 1983. She has performed with Mantis, Scottish Ballet
Steps-Out, Rambert Dance Company and Philippe Genty, working with choreographers
such as Trisha Brown, Merce Cunningham, Richard Alston, Siobhan Davies and
Michael Clark.
Sue's teaching experience
includes work with these companies, Diversions, AMP, Phoenix, the Royal Ballet
School and the University of Derby. She is currently lecturer at the Northern
School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. Choreographic projects include solo
works and collaborations with visual-artists such as Bruce McLean and Simon
Biggs and a work for the students at NSCD. She is also a qualified massage
and bodywork therapist, which, together with her practice of yoga, strongly
informs her artistic practice.
